Sanskrit is Fun-R.P.Jain

Dear Friends,

For nearly 35-40 years the following publications have been part of a chain of schools, St. James Independent Schools in UK as well as Europe, North & Latin America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand so on and so forth. Unfortunately, Sanskrit has lost roots in its birth-place & is no longer part of school curriculum in India where it originated. Rather, Sanskrit is treated like a foreign language being grouped with other foreign languages like German, French etc. Therefore, it is our moral & social responsibility to work towards the cause of "SANSKRIT RENAISSANCE".

Among enclosed articles one of it is from “Speaking Tree” which will give you a comprehensive idea behind publishing the set. Your kind help in propagating, promoting & highlighting this project thru countrywide media support will go a long way in the larger interest of our society.

1) SANSKRIT IS FUN (3 Parts) Level 1

2) STORY OF KRISHNA (2 Parts) Level 2

3) STORIES OF RAMA (2 Parts) Level 3

Since Sanskrit is the heart and soul of India, it is not only the mother of all Indian languages, but the source of all Indo-European languages.  Moreover, Sanskrit does not belong to any particular race, sect or religion. Such was the strong thematic expression of our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh during his deliberation at the 15th World Sanskrit Conference held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi in January 2012.  I strongly feel that without Sanskrit, being the core origin of all languages, it is virtually impossible to sustain the cultural and spiritual values of our homeland for which India is held in high esteem.

In his Foreword, Prof (Dr) Satya Vrat Shastri writes, "The books could also be useful for those involved in performing arts like dance & music, or for students of Yoga & Ayurveda, subjects which have many Sanskrit references."

Warmest personal regards

R P Jain

CALL FOR PAPERS ON STRESS AND MENTAL HEALTH

Call for Papers

Milestone Education Review                                                                                                                                         (The Journal of Ideas on Educational & Social Transformation)

ISSN: 2278-2168

Respected Faculty/Scholar/Professor,

Milestone Education Review (The Journal of Ideas on Educational & Social Transformation) is an online peer-reviewed bi-annual journal of Milestone Education Society (Regd.) Pehowa (Kurukshetra). For us education refers to any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character, or physical ability of an individual. The role of education must be as an instrument of social change and social transformation. Social transformation refers to large scale of social change as in cultural reforms and transformations. The first occurs with the individual, the second with the social system. This journal offers an opportunity to all academicians including educationist, social-scientists, philosophers and social activities to share their views. Each issue contains about 100 pages. This is a special call for papers for Milestone Education Review, Year 04, No. 02 (October, 2013) issue.

Theme: Stress and Mental Health

Talking about stress has become part of normal everyday conversation. We might talk about being stressed by our partners, our children, our financial worries and, of course, our jobs. Most of us recognise the symptoms of stress as feeling anxious, worrying more than usual, not being able to concentrate, and not sleeping well. But we don't always take our feelings of stress that seriously, assuming either that its part and parcel of life or that it will pass. So understanding of stress is important for us in order to deal with it effectively .Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. When you sense danger – whether it’s real or imagined – the body's defenses kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the “fight-or-flight” reaction, or the stress response. The stress response is the body’s way of protecting you. When working properly, it helps you stay focused, energetic, and alert. In emergency situations, stress can save your life – giving you extra strength to defend yourself, and achieve success in any domain. So stress response also helps you rise to meet challenges. Stress is good when it is in appropriate proportion but stress beyond certain level may lead to various psychological, physical and cognitive problems such as body aches and pain, constipation, chest pains, rapid heartbeat, loss of sex drive, frequent cold, headaches, memory problems, inability to concentrate, anxiety, constant worrying, depression, general unhappiness, moodiness etc. which may further hamper one’s personal, social and occupational life or overall well-being of an individual

Therefore effective stress management is the key towards success and overall well-being. We therefore invite your papers on the following theme:

·         Stress Management and Coping

·         Stress and Well-being.

·         Pressures and Stress.

·         Stress at workplace in Public and private sector

·         Personality and Stress

·         Stress and Health Problems
